The "Original Kiteschool", New Wind Kiteboarding was founded in 1999. It was the first licensed kiteboarding school in the Columbia River Gorge, and today remains the one most recommended. New Wind Kiteschool's mission is to provide lessons that will teach you the skills and knowledge to safely and confidently practice the sport on your own at your home beach with your own equipment.

We use Best Kiteboarding's Waroo and Kahoona kites for teaching. The latest advance in kiteboarding technology, these kites offer significant safety improvements which will increase your confidence and fun factor.
